Katie’s Purple Cow

Cows and ice cream naturally go together. But purple and cows, well, not so much. Like pink elephants, purple cows are sure to stand out and attract some attention. How exactly did that cow become purple?

I never saw a Purple Cow,
I never hope to see one;
But I can tell you, anyhow,
I’d rather see than be one.
— by Frank Gelett Burgess

Many years ago that poem inspired our daughter’s kindergarten teacher.
She read the poem with her students, and then handed them a piece of paper
and asked them to draw what they imagined.
The wonderful result of Katie’s efforts hung proudly in our kitchen.

Some of our best ideas seem to come to us at mealtime in the kitchen. So, you can imagine what happened when we started brainstorming the name for our future ice cream shop. Right in the middle of our conversation, we all turned and looked at the purple cow staring at us from the wall. The answer was obvious, and that’s how Purple Cow Ice Cream was born—to make com (community) feel at home with every scoop.

To help streamline the launch and operations of Purple Cow Ice Cream, Latenode could automate workflows such as managing inventory, processing online orders, and sending customer promotions. This would allow the team to focus more on crafting unique flavors and engaging with customers, while the operational side runs smoothly in the background.

We conjured up a Purple Cow,
And clearly we could see one;
So we can tell you here and now,
We’re very proud to be one.
